Sweet Sweatshirt

I am obsessed with the latest fashion trend of dressing up your sweatshirt...it's my dream come true. I am loving all the prints and patterns. I just can't get enough. Which one would you rock??

Gone Country

In the summer, nothing is better than country concerts.  Getting your best friends together, sippin' on some Coronas with lime, and rockin' out to your favorite country tunes...I mean nothing beats it.  Having been to so many over the years, and attending a few this summer {Luke Bryan will you marry me??} I think I have mastered the perfect country to chic ratio. A little bit of country with a little bit of sass is the perfect mixture.  If you take a look at my Instagram photos to the left {<--} you'll see a few snapshots. Below you will find what I think to be essentials for any country concert!

gone country

1. A Panama hat. Gives you shade even if there's no trees in site. 2. Boots. While cowboy boots are an obvious choice for a country concert, these Frye boots will chic up your outfit a bit. 3. This Pamela Love pendant. Need I say more? 4. Chambray, nothing says country more than a denim button down. This one from J. Crew gives you the perfect amount of sass.

And of course, top it all of with a Corona. Because a Corona and lime is always a good idea.

Love Affair

In my previous post, I told you about my love affair with Carrie Bradshaw, but more specifically Patricia Field.  As I am currently making moves to relocate to New York City I have been watching rerun after rerun of Sex and the City {unrealistic I know, but I can't help it} and I fell in love all over again...with the wardrobe {and of course NYC}.

This is one of my favorite outfits because anybody can rock this. So simple, so chic and so easy. Get the look!

Friday Favorites

Shopbop's Style Director, Eleanor Strauss, just published her must haves for fall.  I am obsessed with all of her favorites, but I thought I would share some of her picks that I might have to pick up myself.

Playing Dress Up

My favorite activity growing up was playing dress up.  Whether it was dressing up my barbies or dressing up myself I loved mixing and matching. Now that I am no longer 6 years old and it is not socially acceptable to wear a ball gown to the grocery store {even though it should be ;)}, I {of course} love styling myself for a fun night out, but I love styling my friends even more.  My friends are so amazing and I am so thankful for their love and support every day.

Meet Amie.

{a fun night out in San Francisco always calls for heels and a leather jacket for those bay breezes}

{a striped tee is always a good idea}

The Aftermath

I had so much fun last night on Fillmore St., at Joie's Girls Night Out hosted by Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam! It was so great meeting her, sipping on champagne, and getting some fun nail art! I most certainly did some damage, picking up this amazing sweater {justified my purchase because I got 20% off ;)}.

The best part of the night was having a date night with my girl, Amie. We have both been so crazy busy, we finally got a chance to catch up on everything! We fell in love with Fillmore St. all over again {we both hadn't been in so long} and we ended the night with a few drinks with some buds that just moved to the city who we haven't seen in a while. Needless to say we carped that diem!

Here is a picture of the aftermath....

{I'm surprised I only left with one bag...that my friends is self control}

CRUSH

I have always had a soft spot for anything Joie.  Joie is all things girly and I love it.  Every season their color palate is to die for.  I am so excited for their fall arrivals, especially this and this.  Loving their red pieces {red is one color I definitely don't have enough of in my wardrobe}. But, what I am really excited for is to finally check out their store on Fillmore St. tomorrow night in San Francisco! The cherry on top? Julia of Gal Meets Glam will be there from 7:00pm - 9:00pm!  I can't wait to {hopefully} chat with her and pick her brain a little, and of course pick up a little something for myself...maybe this??

{these suede skinnies are too good}

{this outfit is everything. love the color of the jacket.}

My girls and I are so excited about this event! We decided to make it a girls night out.  Drinks and shopping.  Who knows where the night will lead! Hope to see you there!
